Clinton National Bank
2 Main Street
This Italianate style building erected in 1856 at the corner of Main and Leigh Streets is of brick and block construction. The bank was formed by a Board of Directors with Robert Foster, as President and Nathaniel Voorhees as Cashier. Voorhees is the father of Foster M. Voorhees who became the 30th Governor of New Jersey (1899-1902). This was also the home of The Gephardt Law Offices and B.D. Howell’s dental practice.
