W. H. Baker Druggist Storefront
Main Street

William H. Baker (1838-1923) lived with his wife and children on Leigh Street and ran a pharmacy in the 19th and 20th centuries.  At that time, a druggist or pharmacist used their own discoveries and played an important role in the advancement of medical knowledge and this led to the standardized profession it is today.
